Eleanor Mary Hughes (née Waymouth), (3 April 1882 – 1959) was a New Zealand landscape artist who mostly painted in watercolours. [1] She settled and worked in Britain and became an active member of the Newlyn School of artists and the nearby Lamorna artists colony.
Hammond started to exhibit his works in 1980, [5] and went back to painting on a full-time basis one year later. [10] His first solo exhibition was at the Brooke Gifford Gallery in Christchurch in 1982. [11] In March 1987 he showed for the first time at the Peter McLeavey Gallery in Wellington, an exhibition followed by over 20 others. [5]

He was trained at Walthamstow College of Art (1965–1966) and then at Kingston College of Art (1966–1969). [2] He then went on to attend the Royal Academy Schools (1969–1972) where he was a student of Peter Greenham, Roderic Barrett, Edward and Richard Bawden and Fred Heyworth.
In 1886, he left for New Zealand, where he served as part-time art master at Christ's College, Christchurch [4] and exhibited with the Canterbury Society of Arts 1887–1888 before returning to Britain, where he exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1891 to 1927.
Frost was born in St. Ives, Cornwall, the son of Sir Terry Frost. [1] From 1970 to 1973 he studied at the Cardiff College of Art gaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art.
