1. Main Battle Rifle (MBR) - .308 in a folding stock PTR-91. .308 because it will do just about everything the M-16/M-4, AK-47/74, and SKS platforms in 5.56, 7.62x39, 5.45x39 will, just not quite as well for a couple of things, plus it can do things those platforms and cartridges can’t.

This issue has been on my mind the past few days. I have an AR-15 and an old (like 60+ years) 12 ga shotgun as well as a .22 lr semi-auto and a single shot bolt action .410.

We have everything but a battle rifle (ie. semi-auto. such as a Springfield M1A, FN FAL, etc.) and a long range rifle (ie. bolt action Remmington or Savage in .308 or larger). Bullpups tend to have bad triggers, but I'm here to tell you that the trigger on the RFB is nice compared ...
I am looking for Semi-Auto chambered in .308 that is reliable and capable of defending me and mine from the bad guys. The reason I want it in .308 is that I know the caliber and shoot it often (at least once a month) in my Remington 700VS. Plus the .308 I feel confident will put someone in their place should it come to that.

Working up another article for ReadyMan Magazine and I could use some input. I was just debating with my Navy SEAL co-host the merits of a .308 battle rifle. His point: there's not much of a tactical slot for a semi-auto .308. So, we'll probably build an article with him shooting the SCAR Heavy...
Primary Arms: Tactical CQB type Rifle - Primary Weapons Systems MK111 MOD 2-M 7 11.85" Barrel Pistol chambered in 7.62x39mm. This selection was made after searching through literally hundreds of YouTube reviews on AR-15s, AKs, and .308 battle rifles. I shyed away from the 5.56 NATO round almost immediately.
