AIMS Institutes, formerly Acharya Institute of Management and Sciences (AIMS), is a private, self-financed institution in Bengaluru affiliated to the Bengaluru University. [1] It offers postgraduate, undergraduate and certificate courses in fields such as management, computer applications, social work, hospitality and culinary arts.
The university has two campuses within Bengaluru – Jnanabharathi and Central College. [3] University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering was established in the year 1917, by Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya, At present, the UVCE is the only engineering college under the Bangalore University .

The foundation stone of AIIMS Delhi was laid in 1952. [2] The first AIIMS was established in 1956 under the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Act, 1956. [3] Originally proposed to be established in Calcutta, it was established in New Delhi following the refusal of Chief Minister of West Bengal Bidhan Chandra Roy. [4]
