The POST Board currently has twelve staff positions. Our staff wants to do everything possible to help you with any questions or concerns. Please feel free to contact our staff with your questions.
At the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS), we fill hundreds of vacancies each year. Many of our vacant positions occur in the law enforcement and regulatory area.
Applications for some of POST Board’s licensing examinations are submitted using the state’s on-line electronic licensing system (E-Licensing). Others must be submitted using a form accessible on the POST Board website.
The POST Board has provided sponsors the opportunity to advertise approved courses on the POST Board website. Sponsors wishing to have their courses advertised on the POST site must complete a “Course Schedule Update Form” and must submit at least 30 days prior to the course date.

Become a Board Member. As with all State of Minnesota Boards and Commissions, the application process for becoming a member of the Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) is handled by the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State.
