Keopple was born to Aaron and Joy Keopple, and has a younger brother, Remington. She attended Hill-Murray School in Maplewood, Minnesota, where she played varsity ice hockey for four years. Hill-Murray qualified for the Minnesota State High School hockey tournament all four years with, and she won the state championship her freshman year.
