The City of Milwaukee offers a ten-month, interest free property tax installment payment plan option to those who are unable to pay their bill in full. To qualify, your real estate tax bill must be more than $100 and you must make your first installment payment by January 31.

Starting January 1, 2024, personal property is exempt from taxation in Wisconsin. This is a result of 2023 Wisconsin Act 12 (pdf). Owners of personal property do not need to submit a 2024 personal property return form to the City of Milwaukee.
