Bruce was known as THE hot guitar player at the Jersey Shore back in the early seventies, before he had a record deal. He plays more solos live than he does on record, because in the studio, the songs are the focus, not the solos. I think Nils Lofgren goes criminally under used in that band, although he appears quite content to be a team player.
(Nils on keys I'm pretty sure.) Join me - if you will, "Goin Back" (with a tear or two of reminiscence).
Polyurethane is a 2 part product using a catalyst. Fender has continued to use polyester, polyurethane, nitrocellulose, homoclad, and Full-O- Plast. Nitrocellulose is not a superior finish. An electric guitar doesn't 'breathe' at 120 db. My first year at Fender I personally painted approximately 46,000 guitars.

I have an 80W version head I got used a few years ago from Nils Lofgren and run it through a Carr 2x12 cab that I got here on the forum a year or so ago. Steve Carr said there were only 10 or so of the high power versions made. About the only thing I've been able to find online are some vids of Coco Montoya using one.
Rick is selling a $99.99 "Ultimate Bundle" of all four of his e-books for Black Friday. I'm an intermediate player looking to gain some more music knowledge. I do well with video lessons where I can hear examples. The bundle does include some video content, but I'm trying to decide if it's worth getting it as a comprehensive music course.
1. Jul 18, 2023. #1. Recently bought the Troy Van Leeuwen JM and though it's a beauty, I've been noticing a lot of buzzing from the bridge and strings slipping out of the saddle as I play. It's my first jazzmaster so I was wondering what mods you guys do on your jazzmasters and what you would recommend (mastery bridge/trem, staytrem, etc.).
