The Aero is stupidly expensive and still needs tracking stations and headphones, unlike the Pimax. Until VR matures and the likes of Nikon’s technical imaging division and/or Zeiss enter the market, headsets like the Crystal or Aero are the best we can hope for right now. 2 Likes. Varjo VR-3 €3 195,00. By powering true-to-life virtual reality experiences, Varjo VR-3 enables a deeper level of focus in your daily workflow. per “Flight Sim Guy” on YouTube. What about the HTC Vive Pro? Topic moved into # virtual-reality-vr:general for better visibility.
I bought a Vive Pro 2 to upgrade from my Quest 2 and the Quest 2 was just just a straight up better headset, for £1000 less. The lenses in the Vive Pro 2 were atrociously bad. I have a Reverb G2 which I much prefer to the Quest 2 for seated PCVR, especially MSFS, but prefer the Quest 2 for everything standing.
The next option is to purchase a new VR Headset - hence my Topic today. Occasionally, I play games on Steam however, 95% of my VR time is spent in MSFS via Windows Mixed Reality. I’m open in regard to a price point which will depend largely on the experience that a VR Headset can deliver. My PC Specs: Intel Core i7-9700K; DDR4 16G; HDD 2TB
Having flown in 2d for many years I would like to try VR just to see what it is like. System is a 10700F with 3090, 32mb ram , SSD. Having read and watched many reviews, i am now totally undecided which would work best with this system, wired , wireless, pancake lenses … I primarily fly tubeliners, fenix, pdmg in particular . I am aware there are some very top end headsets, but as this is ...
I don't know that I would actually recommend the Pimax Crystal to anyone but an enthusiast, but with mine I have a 4090 and 13700k, so generally get close to 90 fps most of the time in MP, where I do 95% of my flying. Even at that resolution I don't see IL-2 getting much clearer in any expected headset.
A lot depends on the headset and the ecosystem you’re using. Lets take the Reverb G2 as an example. Connectivity is via Display port, USB 3, and also a separate power brick. It uses the Windows Mixed Reality eco system, but also works with Steam VR but theres a number of different apps you would need to download to get it all up and running.
Hello Gang! I’ve been reading up on all the reviews regarding VR in MSFS2020 and I am thinking of taking the plunge and buy my first VR headset. For those of you that have had experience with VR in FS2020, what would be the best VR headset to invest in if money is no object? Kind of thinking of investing for now and for the future. I’ve read that there is a headset out there that requires ...
The Reverb G2 was the VR headset which MSFS 2020 was optimized for. Hi, This is false information, WMR is the software of which many HMDs use and this title was never optimized for any single HMD, I can understand where this confusion comes from as the initial details surrounding the VR inclusion where at best farcical.
The Pimax sounds nice because of its large fov and i would imagine that would be so immersive. but have seemed to hear mixed reviews. Anyways would love to hear everyone's thoughts and experience cheers. my specs: -Nvidia RTX 3090 ultra. -AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 8-core processor. -31.92 GB RAM.
