  2. Turn (angle) - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turn_(angle)

The turn (symbol tr or pla) is a unit of plane angle measurement that is the measure of a complete angle—the angle subtended by a complete circle at its center. One turn is equal to 2π radians, 360 degrees or 400 gradians. As an angular unit, one turn also corresponds to one cycle (symbol cyc or c) [1] or to one revolution (symbol rev or r). [2]

  3. Half-turn - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-turn

A half-turn may refer to: One half of a full turn, an angle measure equivalent to 180 degrees or π radians Considering only points in a plane, a half turn is equivalent to a point reflection; Pi (π), a mathematical constant representing a half-turn in radians; A U-turn: a driving maneuver used to reverse direction

  4. Angle - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angle

An angle equal to 1 / 2 turn (180° or π radians) is called a straight angle. [5] An angle larger than a straight angle but less than 1 turn (between 180° and 360°) is called a reflex angle. An angle equal to 1 turn (360° or 2 π radians) is called a full angle, complete angle, round angle or perigon.

  5. Turning radius - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turning_radius

Diagram showing the path of a driver performing a U-turn.A vehicle with a smaller turning diameter will be able to perform a sharper U-turn. The turning radius (alternatively, turning diameter or turning circle) of a vehicle defines the minimum dimension (typically the radius or diameter) of available space required for that vehicle to make a semi-circular U-turn without skidding.

  6. Internal and external angles - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internal_and_external_angles

If every internal angle of a simple polygon is less than a straight angle (π radians or 180°), then the polygon is called convex. In contrast, an external angle (also called a turning angle or exterior angle) is an angle formed by one side of a simple polygon and a line extended from an adjacent side. [1]: pp. 261–264

  8. Talk:Turn (angle) - Wikipedia

    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Turn_(angle)

And a wheel doing half a turn, is really doing 0.5 turns, not 0.5*2*pi = 3.1415 turns (which would be more than 3 full rotations!). One turn really is a single turn, it's just really incorrect to put a mathematical constant having the value of 2pi there. Turns is the same as rotations, right? As in "rotations per minute"?
