Panay State Polytechnic College was the former name of the Mambusao and Pontevedra campuses of Capiz State University, a state university in the Philippines based in Roxas City. The college was the result of merger between Mambusao Agricultural and Technical College based in Mambusao and Capiz Agricultural and Fishery School based in Pontevedra .
The university has its origins in the founding of Capiz Home School in 1904 by Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Robbins with the help of the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society. [1] In 1952, it took the name of Filamer Christian Institute and Filamer Christian College in 1985. It became a university in 2010. [2]
