Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club (formerly known as Wyndham Palms) is a golf club and resort in Celebration, Florida. The resort covers over 600 acres (2.4 km 2) of land, including nature preserves and tropical landscapes. It is located approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) from the Walt Disney World Resort entrance in Orlando, Florida. [2]
The company was also named after the founder. The company's first hotel was opened in 1984 near the entrance of Walt Disney World in Kissimmee, Florida. The Indian Lakes Resort originally was a country club which was named the Indian Lakes Country Club which opened in 1965. [1] In 1971, Carson Pirie Scott purchased the property to build a 6-7 story hotel. [2] The original golf course buildings were renovated to fit the needs of the hotel.
