Crash reconstruction statistics. The metro crash reconstruction unit has five troopers who investigate serious and deadly vehicle crashes full-time. They mainly work in the Twin Cities area, but travel to other parts of the state if needed. In greater Minnesota, 35 crash reconstruction specialists work part-time on reconstruction duties.

(KTTC) – The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) reported, via public information officer Mike Lee’s X page, that there were nearly 600 crashes across the state Wednesday. From midnight to 3 p.m. MSP says there were 122 crashes, with 102 of those being non-injury crashes.
