ClubQBall. Full Member. 6. Posted June 16, 2009. There was also a Games People Play location off of F.M. 1960 on Kuykendahl Rd. It was close to Steubner Airline Drive. An old family friend and her husband were the property managers / maintenance managers plus my boss used to work there when he was a teenager.

I remember Physical Whimsical at 249 and 1960. They had a cool air-blown western town that you could walk into and jump and crawl around in. Pretty cool and worth a mention, even if it was housed in a stripmall LOL. (see my Games People Play post )

I too have a lot of fond memories growing up there. I lived on Rowan. I went to SFDS and Sharpstown Jr high. I loved the mall, Gaylynn theater, Games people play, and Taco bell/Del Taco back when they used REAL ingredients. Now all I am left with is a dream of the past and a post mortem analysis of its demise.

I remember watching Smokey and the Bandit at the Champions Theater and going to Games People Play. 1960 was blacktop 4 lanes with a turn lane divider most of the way at that time. 149 (now 249) turned into a 2 lane road when you crossed north of the railroad tracks at the power station which now about where BW8 crosses 249.

  7. Houston Botanical Garden At The Glenbrook Golf Course

The objection at Glenbrook Valley was mostly people a few people that use the course for jogging. I think they ended up at the right place, in the end. Im pretty sure it was the City of Houston that determined the property was losing money and would be better served leased to someone else besides a golf course, thus putting the site up for lease..

We could at least get the orbitz ads. They are sports oriented. Thump football, homerun derby. If they start turning into the ones where you knock George Bush out, then I will have to question my loyalty to this site.

I don't download porn or play video games online, so I don't need blazing speed, that's all. And I have to believe digital cable is more expensive than dish or direct TV. I just want to find the cheapest alternative to TWC that doesn't involve a 56k modem.

    1. Shortly after graduating high school, I was living in an apartment with a few other guys and we were big into LAN parties (multiple people hooking their computers up to play games against each other). We had ordered pizza and it was taking an extremely long time to be delivered. When the pizza guy finally gets there, it had been over an hour.

I wonder if the urge to pass laws keeping bars and liquor stores away from schools comes from people who live suburban lifestyles. When I was growing up, there was a bar on every corner. My grandmother would send me down to the corner bar to play video games. It was no big deal. There was a bar across the street from the church and the school.
