Koh-e-Suleman Tehsil, [2] formerly known as De-Excluded Area D.G. Khan and D.G. Khan Tribal Area, is a tehsil located in Taunsa District, Punjab, Pakistan. [3] The population is 248,683, according to the 2023 census. [1] Barring a small Saraiki-speaking section, almost the entire population of the tehsil (97.7%) is Balochi-speaking. [1]
It was created in 2022 from part of Dera Ghazi Khan district, and was officially notified in 2024. [2] It is situated on the bank of River Indus . It consists of three tehsils: Koh-e-Suleman , Taunsa and Vehowa . [ 3 ]
