Bandera Downs in Bandera, Texas. Bandera Downs was an American horse-racing track located in Bandera, Bandera County, Texas.. A thousand people were on hand for the first race at the new track known as Lost Valley Downs in July 1965 [1] running American Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred events until closing after the 1967 season.
The new owner renamed the track Trinity Meadows and was one of the first horse racing tracks opened once Texas legalized parimutuel betting. The track opened in May 1991 with first year profit of $1.8 million and $1.3 the following year.
