Pyramids Football Club (Arabic: نادي بيراميدز لكرة القدم or نادي الأهرام لكرة القدم) is an Egyptian professional football club based in New Cairo, Cairo that competes in the Egyptian Premier League, the highest league in the Egyptian football league system. [1]
It was played between Pyramids and ZED on 30 August 2024 at Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria. [3] Both teams were looking to win their first ever Egypt Cup title. [4] This marked Pyramids' third appearance in the final match of the competition, having previously lost the 2019 and 2022 finals against Zamalek and Al Ahly, respectively.
The 2023–24 ZED FC season was the club's 15th season in existence and the first season back in the top flight of Egyptian football. In addition to the domestic league , ZED participated in this season's editions of the Egypt Cup , and the League Cup .

The club was known as FC Masr since its establishment in 2009 until 24 November 2020, when ZED Egypt acquired the club and renamed it to ZED FC prior to the start of the 2020–21 season in Egypt. They previously played in the Egyptian Premier League only once during the 2019–20 season under the name of FC Masr; their last season under that name.
