Isipathana College is a national school for boys in Colombo, Western Province, Sri Lanka. It was established in January 1952. It was established in January 1952. Western Province is located in the southwest of Sri Lanka. It has an area of 3,684 square kilometres (1,422 sq mi). [1] The province is surrounded by the Laccadive Sea to the west, North Western Province to the north, Sabaragamuwa Province to the east and the Southern Province to the south.
With the increase in the number of students in the school, as there was not enough space in the building, the primary classes (1971 – 1 Grades, 1972 – 2 Grades, 1973 – 3 Grades, 1974 – 4 Grades, 1975 – 5 Grades) were removed and in 1975 the school was converted into a secondary school with classes from grade six upwards.

Crops are grown on the fertile Barotse floodplains and along the margin of the flood plain, in particular maize, rice, millet and vegetables.
