"Read My Mind" is a song by American rock band the Killers. It was released on February 13, 2007, as the third single from their second studio album, Sam's Town (2006). It peaked at number 62 on the US Billboard Hot 100 , topped three other Billboard rankings, and charted at number 15 on the UK Singles Chart .
The Killers are an American rock band formed in Las Vegas in 2001 by Brandon Flowers (lead vocals, keyboards, bass) and Dave Keuning (lead guitar, backing vocals). After going through a number of short-term bassists and drummers in their early days, both Mark Stoermer (bass, rhythm guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion) joined the band in 2002.
The Killers' second studio album, Sam's Town, was released in October 2006, being met initially by mixed reviews but nonetheless proving a commercial success, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 with opening sales of 315,000 units, and going on to be certified double-platinum by the RIAA.
