Manoa (/ ˈ m ɑː n oʊ ə /, informally / m ɑː ˈ n oʊ ə /; Hawaiian: Mānoa) is a valley on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. It is a residential neighborhood of Honolulu, Hawaii. The neighborhood is approximately three miles (5 km) east and inland from downtown Honolulu and less than a mile (1600 m) from Ala Moana and Waikiki.

Pālolo is the name of a valley, stream, and residential neighborhood in Honolulu, Hawaii, the United States. [2] The area lies approximately four miles east and inland from downtown Honolulu, less than a mile from Diamond Head. Like many of Hawaii's neighborhoods, Pālolo consists of an entire valley.

[1] Swimming in the pool below the waterfall is highly discouraged because there is a threat of becoming infected with Leptospirosis, a disease causing mild to moderate flulike symptoms that can last for 1 to 2 weeks.
