Gooseberry Falls State Park is a state park of Minnesota, United States, on the North Shore of Lake Superior.The park is located in Silver Creek Township, about 13 miles (21 km) northeast of Two Harbors, Minnesota in Lake County on scenic Minnesota Highway 61.
Larger wildlife species include northern woodlands white-tailed deer, western moose, Canadian lynx, eastern black bear, and eastern wolf packs. Northern Minnesota has the largest population of gray wolves in the lower 48 states, with approximately 300-400 wolves within the boundaries of this forest. [9]
Much of Bear Head Lake State Park is inaccessible by trail. [7] In winter 9 miles (14 km) are groomed for cross-country skiing, while the rest of the park is open to snowshoeing.
