Alexander Russell Webb is considered by historians to be the earliest prominent Anglo-American convert to Islam in 1888. In 1893, he was the sole representative of Islam at the first Parliament of the World's Religions. Currently there are people arguing for our civil rights, and we’re also seeing those who want to smear our entire faith and say that Islam is an inherently violent religion.
