Hyannis Port is the location of the Kennedy Compound [5] and other Kennedy family residences and, as such, is included in the National Register of Historic Places. There are three Kennedy houses on the compound: Rose's, Jack's, and Ethel's. (Ted's house was nearby but not in the compound itself.)
We've got Al's mom's sweet potato poon, Hoda's mom's baklava, Carson's mom's drunken mashed potatoes and more.
The area was not fully developed until the first decades of the 20th century. The district does have a few 18th-century houses, but most of its houses are in the styles popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The most famous residents of Hyannis Port, however, are the Kennedy family, whose compound is a National Historic Landmark.
