The Dream (French: Le Rêve; occasionally also known as Le Songe or Rêve exotique) is a large oil-on-canvas painting created by Henri Rousseau in 1910, one of more than 25 Rousseau paintings with a jungle theme.

Le Rêve (English: The Dream) is a 1932 oil on canvas painting (130 × 97 cm) by Pablo Picasso, then 50 years old, portraying his 22-year-old mistress Marie-Thérèse Walter. It is said to have been painted in one afternoon, on 24 January 1932.

The birth date of Jules Frédéric Ballavoine has long been debated. According to the Livre d'or du Salon of 1880, he was born in Paris in 1842. [3] Other sources give the later date of 1855, [2] although this is incompatible with the fact that he exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1865.
