Routes 68 and 69 merged into new SEPTA Route 70 on June 18, 1973; the third Route 69 (former Route F) was discontinued on December 7, 1990; it went from Wynnefield along Columbia, Creighton, Jefferson, Parkside, Ford, Conshohocken, Neill, Presidential (it went on Belmont and City going south, and Presidential going north), and Belmont to Manayunk.
Pittsburgh Regional Transit's bus system covers Allegheny County, and its service extends into small portions of neighboring Beaver, Butler, and Westmoreland counties. The Norristown Transportation Center is a stop on the Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail Line, which offers service to Center City Philadelphia via Conshohocken and Manayunk. In 2017, the regional rail service at Norristown Transportation Center had a weekday average of 856 boardings and 781 alightings. [4]
Bus service between West Chester and Coatesville was a replacement for the previous trolley service operated by West Chester Traction. SEPTA replaced two of the routes with their own bus service. Route 122 service was replaced by SEPTA's Route 91 in July 1982, after only one year of service. Route 91 was eliminated due to lack of ridership.
