Benson James Boone (born June 25, 2002) is an American singer-songwriter. Born and raised in Monroe, Washington , he began his music career when he filled in for a friend at a talent show. Boone later appeared on the televised U.S. music show American Idol , where he briefly competed before withdrawing voluntarily.
