Rimrock Draw Rockshelter is a rockshelter located in Eastern Oregon of the US. It is an archaeological site being studied by the University of Oregon under the guidance of Dr. Patrick O'Grady in coordination with the Museum of Natural and Cultural History [1] and in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
In this area, the Shoshone were often known by white people as the Snakes. By late August, the band was short of supplies, particularly good horses, guns, and ammunition. Cho Cho Co traveled east along the Oregon Trail to meet his uncle, Deer Fly, and borrow soldiers from him. Now reinforced, he identified the Clark party as his target.

Fort Harney was a United States Army outpost in eastern Oregon named in honor of Brigadier General William S. Harney.Fort Harney was used as a supply depot and administrative headquarters from 1867 to 1880 during the Army's campaign against Northern Paiute bands in Eastern Oregon and the Bannock uprising in the same area.
The Warner Valley is bounded by high escarpment walls on the east and west. The main line of perpendicular displacement is along the foot of the cliffs to the east of the Warner Lakes. This scarp feature is known as Hart Mountain. The main cliff face of Hart Mountain towers 3,600 feet (1,100 m) above the valley floor. [3]

The Allison Guard Station is located in a remote area of the Ochoco Mountains in the Malheur National Forest. It is approximately 60 miles (97 km) northwest of Burns, Oregon. The elevation at the site is 5,310 feet (1,620 m). The forest around the guard station is dominated by ponderosa pine. [10]
