The Chicago Mass Choir is an American gospel choir from Chicago, Illinois. The ensemble was founded in 1988 by James C. Chambers , who was also the founder of the Ecclesiastes Community Choir . Their debut album was issued in 1991; that year they were named Best New Artist at the Gospel Music Excellence Awards. [ 1 ]
[7] [8] The parish fell on hard times in the 1970s after the closure of the stockyards, resulting in a merger with the neighboring parish of The Immaculate Heart of Mary. In 2004 the parish celebrated its 100-year anniversary, [ 9 ] and in 2021, the parish was united with two nearby churches, St. Joseph and St. Michael, into Holy Cross and SS.

Bryan Andrew Wilson (born November 3, 1983) is an American gospel musician.He calls his music "spiritual soul" because it combines the passion of faith with the sound of R&B. Wilson began his career as a child gospel star, belting out "His Eye is on the Sparrow" with the Mississippi Children's Choir in the 1990s.
Today, the choir is fully independent and serves all of Chicago from its home in the Chicago Cultural Center. Distinguished singers included David Edmonds, who performed with the choir from 1970 to 1977. He sang classical, folk and spiritual pieces as lead soloist in numerous concerts, both in Chicago and on national tours.
