Life University summer 2011 graduation. The university was founded in 1974 by Williams as "Life Chiropractic College" [1] on the site of a placer gold mine, next to Southern Technical Institute (later Southern Polytechnic State University and now Kennesaw State University – Marietta Campus).
Life Chiropractic College West is a private chiropractic school in Hayward, California, US, known for its Doctor of Chiropractic degree program. Founded as Pacific States Chiropractic College in 1976 by George E. Anderson, the name was changed in 1981 to its current form after a merger with Life Chiropractic College (now Life University).
The campus was originally leased from the Lockheed Corporation, and on January 20, 1975, Life Chiropractic College opened with a pioneer class of 22 students. During his tenure, Williams grew the school's total enrollment to over 3,500 students, making it the largest chiropractic college in the world at the time. [ 1 ]

The Life West Gladiators are an American rugby union club based in Hayward, California. They are the Men's team for Life Chiropractic College West. They compete in the Division I Pacific Rugby Premiership and are champions of the 2019 season. [1] [2] They moved up to Division I after winning the Division II National Championship in 2015. [3]
