Pocatello, Idaho. This buck scored around 147 due to the crabbed fork in the back, would have been 169 had the back forks been more symmetrical. Crabby forks drive the score down greatly. Just a note, he was only 24" wide, but was I think 22-23" tall, so symmetry helps! Jul 27, 2017. #20.

1.Use a meat slicer to cut the deer up into 1/4 inch thick slabs. 2.Using seasonings you've made yourself or seasonings you buy (my favorite is Hi Mountain Hunter's Blend) mix the cure and seasonings together. With any seasoning packet I have used, I have found they claim their seasonings go too far.

1,667. Location. Laramie, WY. Never seen one on public land in Oklahoma. If you are from Oklahoma I understand but if you are a NR there are better opportunities, even Nebraska is a better opportunity for NR mule deer hunting on public land. Right now the best hunting opportunity on public land in Oklahoma is archery antelope IMO.

1,847. This buck came out of 29 during 2nd rifle last year, which I was pretty impressed with. That said, I think 20 is a bit easier to navigate as far as public land unless you plan to go way up in the Wilderness. I turkey hunt in 20 and 29 and I think I've seen more deer in 20. Feb 26, 2020. #4.

If your only wanting to rifle hunt you could apply for the either species, either sex deer tag. My luck is that when I just get a whitetail tag I end up seeing more mule deer.
