If you are a specs junkie Haywood offers more options for shafts and grips, as well as length and lie customization. Tokamo seems to be cornering the market with endorsements and review, but from what I get from friends in the know, you are getting the same club, no matter where you buy from on the DTC market.
Most people probably don’t know Haywood. They are a startup golf company based in Vancouver aiming at selling high quality clubs at low prices by taking out marketing spend. I’ve ordered a set of their signature irons and a wedge. Please see attached pictures. . Here is my initial thoughtsOverall - I’ll give it 4 star.

Posted July 11. DTC golf brand Haywood released two new irons today. Both look to be hollow-body designs with foam injection. The SV.2 is more game improvement design with a progressive offset and lower CG for higher launch. While the PD1 is their first Players Distance irons, featuring a more mid CG for a more piercing flight.
Posted April 20, 2023. I have just recently learned about DTC brands in the golf space and I am quite intrigued. I've been looking at affordable brands like Takomo, Sub 70 and Haywood. All of which seem like great alternatives to the big names. Curious to get some thoughts around these brands and if they are at all comparable to the big brands ...
