It yields Maple Syrup every 9 days when tapped. It can be chopped down with an axe, producing Wood, Sap, possible Maple Seeds, and possible Hardwood (if the player is a Lumberjack). Normally, shaking a Maple Tree has a chance of producing a Maple Seed, but during the last two weeks of Fall, a Hazelnut is dropped instead.
The growth time is random for the most part that is each sappling only has a chance to grow. It isn't like crops where, if you water ever day, are growing every day. It can take up to 46 days for a tree to grow to full. Also Sapplings will not grow if something is next to them so you need to make sure there is a one block space around each tree.
Oak is more the Ice-Cream Cone shaped. Maple is a lighter green, and has colored dots in summer, but you can really tell in fall. A simple way is either shake, or cut down a specific tree till you get it's seed. Maple-Maple, Pine-Pine, Acorn-Oak

Hello, I'm wondering if it's part of the new update or if it's a bug but my trees namely the Maple trees on my farm are losing their leaves in fall. The tapper on them also stops working. The appearance of the maple tree also looks different to the winter maple tree. They look like when the green rain trees don't have leaves instead. Is anyone else experiencing this?
How does the tile works? I read somewhere that there has to be a space but I don't know how much. I read that there should be a 3x3 tile free of anything for the tree to work. I know I can plant it anywhere but what about the tiles? is it X= Tile 0= Tree XXX XOX XXX For single XXXXXX XOXXOX XXXXXX For double or multiple?
It makes sense to pop them off and back on again one time if you're trying to reset from a bug but you shouldn't be having to pop them on and off every day just to get them to produce. Just leave them on the tree, oak resin and maple syrup just take a few days longer than pine tar.
Do the trees give more wood based on what kind they are? I'm planning on making a tree farm and I want to know if a specific tree is better to use. I have no plans to grow all of them just for Field Snacks, but I will keep extra seeds of the other trees incase I need them for something (like tappers).
the community wiki has some images [stardewcommunitywiki.com] of each of the tree types so you can identify them. maple and oak trees look very similar, but more branches can be seen in maple trees. Thank you so much your a life saver!
As far as I understand, these "new fall trees" are in fact rare tree variants from moss seeds. The chart in wiki's Tapper page erroneously states that tappers can be placed on "Green Rain Trees" (i. e. any) - which is not right.
