Dr. David O. Dykes (born January 16, 1953) is Pastor Emeritus and the former Senior Pastor of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas. [1] He is also the author of several Christian books. Under his leadership Green Acres became "one of the leading churches in America," according to president of the SBC Executive Committee Morris Chapman. [3]

Greenacres (formerly, Green Acres) is a census-designated place [4] in Kern County, California. [2] It is located 6.25 miles (10 km) west of Bakersfield, [5] at an elevation of 381 feet (116 m). [2] The population was 5,566 at the 2010 census. Greenacres was founded in 1930. [5]
Green Acres is located 4.5 miles north of the city of Wilmington [2] and several miles from the Pennsylvania state line. I-95 runs along its southeastern border. Green Acres has two entrances, both of which connect to Silverside Road that runs along the northeastern border of the community, and across from which is the neighborhood of Windybush.
