Check you battery charger. The new raptors use an AGM battery. Similar type of battery they use on most motor cycles. Agms require a specific / slightly different charging pattern. Most newer tenders have a setting on them for different types of batteries. Hope this helps
I had my factory battery go bad after a year so since then, I've been using a tender. I'd like to know if I can use a tender for the 2 batteries under the passenger side rear set. I don't think the tender has enough reach to charge them from the main battery but I don't know if they disconnect when the truck isnt running.
Battery Maintainer: The 2019 Raptor is my wife's so it stays local. I drive it when I can on the highway and get up to temp and keep it on a Deltran battery maintainer. My 2018 911 C4S is on a CTEK battery maintainer. I DD my 2018 M3 so there is no need for anything there.
That’s the cause right there. Short trips like that will not recharge the battery and are not enough to offset the draw. I have the same issue. Grab a battery tender and give it a full charge 1x a month.
Question on using Battery Tender Plus on my 2023. I plugged it in on and off (totaling 24hrs). However it continues to show charging. Is that normal? After hearing about all these battery issues I just wanted to top it off but damn its taking forever for what was supposed to be a top-off...
Took a stroll to the shop to check on my truck as I had just hooked it to a battery tender (brand) 3amp charger and tender. The battery was full and was on maintain mode. I shut the lights off and walked out, but before closing the door I noticed my accessport was physically ON and was on the screen stating it was looking for power.
I run a 2nd battery in the bed of 112ah of Headway Lithium for my Truck's stereo. Not the battery you need or use but same principle. I run a zero gauge from the alt fused under the truck along the frame then up through the holes in the front of the bed along the driver's side. Grounded to the frame and then back to the ALT bolt, both zero also.
I've been browsing this site for a while and the information on it is superb. one thing I have been looking for and cannot find however is pictures of how to run a power cable from the battery to the rear of the truck. I have a plan of fitting some flush mounted bumper lights using a relay and and Aux switch along with some LED cargo lights.
The battery would not charge. Ended up pulling the battery charger that was part of the breakaway kit. It was basically a three wire solid-state device with two positive leads and one that went to the breakaway switch. Everything is fine now. Not sure why the need for the little solid-state battery charger device.
I went out to the truck to try the ignition and the truck barely started. Just a extremely low battery. Plus its been cold. I do have a flash light (streamlight) plug in to the 12v source in the center console. I was thinking of getting a solar powered battery maintainer.
