For the first time ever, you can now apply for and track permits and licenses online using the City of Goleta’s new Magnet Permit Tracking System Public Portal.
Staff will review the materials submitted and initiate review to commerce. Supporting documents and plans can be uploaded to the system on the Confirmation page following payment. Please note that it takes 4-8 weeks for review and approval on all business licenses.

Goleta residents, property owners and businesses will now be able to apply directly online for all permit types and business licenses. Through the Public Portal, anyone can also check permit status and access permit records by parcel.
