After asking Molly McGee for advice, Anne, Sprig, Cricket, and Tilly summon the ghost of the Chibi Theater: Scratch. After Scratch denies causing the bad luck, Sprig discovers that Polly was causing the bad luck as she was not asked to host the show. The chibis then end the show with a human pyramid, which topples after Cricket gloats.
Despite putting it back, Andrias still drops Sprig. Anne, devastated and enraged by the loss of Sprig, awakens her powers through the blue gem from the Calamity Box and fights off Andrias and the rest of his robots until she soon faints, exhausted from the power. Sprig, having been saved by Marcy on Joe Sparrow, arrives and hugs her.
