Last June 2 and 3 2008 the first batch of the college of nursing had their first attempt in the Nursing Licensure Examination and Successfully the School got 80% passing rate from National 40% Passing Percentage. The school also offers Senior High School. CTS has linkages with the leaders in education technology.

Velez College is a private educational institution in Cebu City, Cebu, widely known for offering allied health degrees. It was founded by Dr. Jacinto Velez Sr. in 1952, who was then chairman of the board of trustees of Cebu (Velez) General Hospital School of Nursing. It was incorporated under the Philippine Corporation Law on March 28, 1966. [1]
The Liberal Arts department (now College of Arts and Sciences) was established in 1977 and the department of Nursing (now College of Nursing) was created in 1982. The school was then renamed as "Cebu Normal College" in 1966, then to "Cebu State College" in 1976 in accordance to P.D. 944.
