The jokes and characters during the frog sequence, which lasts forever, are all like, Disney Afternoon tier. Dr. Facilier is an incredible villain and he's totally wasted bumbling around with Naveen's worthless butler guy who is the opposite of a great villain, he's a guy you hate to hate because he sucks.

Lawrence in Princess and the Frog (2009) was an interesting character and deserved better Like I felt bad for him? Of course what he did (impersonating Naveen) was obviously wrong, but whenever I watch the film, I find myself sympathizing more and more with Lawrence.
While Princess and the Frog for the most part uses Jazzy type music with is a genre I think for the most part people do enjoy without realizing. Disney animations back around the 60's and 70's uses some jazz music in the background for some scenes, example being Jungle Book with some chase scenes having jazz present in the background.
The Princess and the Frog has taken the spot as my favorite traditionally-animated Disney movies, definitely. I agree with you that the soundtrack is fantastic. "Down In New Orleans," "Almost There," "Friends on the Other Side," and "Evangeline," are my favorites, but I will find myself humming the entire soundtrack throughout the day.

Tiana is the ONLY black princess so the ONLY representation from Disney (the iconic company of most the youth in the US) for black children is a princess who is a frog for most of her story. This in contrast for pretty much all the white princesses (Belle, Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, Cinderella, Merida, Anna, Elsa, and Rapunzel) who remain ...
Yes. For a while since the beginning of their creation, Disney capitalized off their business model of making public domain fairy tales (meaning no royalties involved, plus the major plot points and characters are finished AND they're already so recognizable that people were likely to come see them regardless) into squeaky-clean movies that were fun for the whole family (the most profitable ...
Tiana's triumphant one liner against Facilier being about frog mucus. Not only that, but it's not like it factored into her beating him since she used her tongue. I cringed so hard. And of course, spending most of the movie as a frog. I desperately wish the love song at least showed her and Naveen as human; maybe as reflections in the water.
