Olly and Thorne take Jon outside under the pretense of seeing a wildling who had recently seen his uncle Benjen Stark. Led outside, he realizes that he has been betrayed. Thorne, Marsh, Yarwyck, Olly, and the others take turns stabbing Jon, each uttering "For the Watch", before leaving him to die alone in the snow.
