When I went into the store on 90th and Fort everything seemed so disorganized. That was a couple of years ago and I’m sure things change.
Fareway Grocery Stores (not the Fareway Meat Market) has short loins for $7.99 lb this week. Fantastic deal for that cut of meat which you get about 6 Porterhouse and 7 T-bones. They range about 24 lbs (you have to buy the whole loin) and can be cut to any thickness. I got two loins cut at 1-1/2“ and split them with the kids and a couple friends.

Hy-Vee abruptly suspends employee discount program, alleging abuse. Iowa grocery giant says updated perks program will roll out by mid-April. Employees at Hy-Vee were informed Monday that they will no longer get a 10% discount on store purchases; but the company says it’s working on “revamping the program.”.
At one point there was talk of Fareway going in out there somewhere, though it might have been a tad farther west. I love the one at 132nd and Fort. Wonder if, after a location selection if that is the Fareway that ended up being announced in Valley?
131st and Fort Affordable Housing Development. by iamjacobm » Thu Jun 25, 2020 7:39 pm. Looks like NIFA awarded tax credits for an 80 unit senior living community on roughly 2nd and Fort. Not sure exactly which lot. 80 total units, 64 of which are affordable it appears. I am not terribly familiar with how much detail you can find on LIHTC ...

There is a SuperTarget at 718 N. Washington St., and Tara Foods is at 807 Tara Plaza. The Baker's store at 8010 S. 84th St. is just over the line in La Vista. Fareway Foods is building a store at 72nd Street and Giles Road, and Wal-Mart got approval from a judge Monday to build a SuperCenter at that same intersection.
