Alpha manganese (α-Mn) is the equilibrium phase at room temperature. It has a body-centered cubic lattice and is unusual among elemental metals in having a very complex unit cell, with 58 atoms per cell (29 atoms per primitive unit cell) in four different types of site.
Organomanganese chemistry is the chemistry of organometallic compounds containing a carbon to manganese chemical bond.In a 2009 review, Cahiez et al. argued that as manganese is cheap and benign (only iron performs better in these aspects), organomanganese compounds have potential as chemical reagents, although currently they are not widely used as such despite extensive research.
A vial containing the metallic allotrope of antimony Native antimony with oxidation products Crystal structure common to Sb, AsSb and gray As Antimony is a member of group 15 of the periodic table , one of the elements called pnictogens , and has an electronegativity of 2.05.
Black phosphorus or β-metallic phosphorus is the least reactive allotrope and the thermodynamically stable form below 550 °C (823 K). In appearance, properties, and structure, it resembles graphite , being black and flaky, a conductor of electricity, and having puckered sheets of linked atoms.
Naturally occurring manganese (25 Mn) is composed of one stable isotope, 55 Mn. Twenty-seven radioisotopes have been characterized, with the most stable being 53 Mn with a half-life of 3.7 million years, 54 Mn with a half-life of 312.3 days, and 52 Mn with a half-life of 5.591 days.

Manganese may also form mixed oxides with other metals : Bixbyite, (Fe III,Mn III) 2 O 3, a manganese(III) iron(III) oxide mineral; Jacobsite, Mn II Fe III 2 O 4, a manganese(II) iron(III) oxide mineral; Columbite, (Fe II,Mn II)Nb 2 O 6, a niobate of iron(II) and manganese(II) Tantalite, (Fe II,Mn II)Ta 2 O 6, a tantalum(V) mineral group close ...
The most stable form is the black allotrope, which is a metallic looking, brittle and relatively non-reactive semiconductor (unlike the white allotrope, which has a white or yellowish appearance, is pliable, highly reactive and a semiconductor). When assessing periodicity in the physical properties of the elements it needs to be borne in mind ...
