The game ends when a contestant identifies all seven tunes, runs out of time, or gives an incorrect answer. On the 1974 daytime series, the winning player had to correctly identify six (later five) tunes. Each correct guess won $200, and $2,000 was awarded if the contestant guessed all six in 30 seconds.

The game 20Q is based on the spoken parlor game known as twenty questions, and is both a website [2] and a handheld device. 20Q asks the player to think of something and will then try to guess what they are thinking of with twenty yes-or-no questions. If it fails to guess in 20 questions, it will ask an additional 5 questions.
The exceptions to this game are that the player can only listen to remixes and cover versions of the song. It is not against the rules to play or send the song to others, but players are not encouraged to do so. Whamageddon is described as a survival game, as opposed to a battle royale game.
