The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, DDCR, is a 225-square-kilometre (87 sq mi) natural reserve in the emirate of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. It was established by Emiri decree on 9 January 2002 and comprises some 5% of the Emirate of Dubai's total landmass. [1] It is home to the Al Maha Desert Resort and Spa.
The Love Lake opened to the public in November 2018 and gained widespread recognition through an Instagram post by Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai. [ 4 ] [ 5 ] This man-made oasis is situated within the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve and is a part of the artificial desert wetland, Al Qudra Lake.
