Alan Charles Jardine (born September 3, 1942) is an American musician who co-founded the Beach Boys.He is best known as the band's rhythm guitarist, background vocalist, and for occasionally singing lead vocals on singles such as number-one hit "Help Me, Rhonda" (1965), "Then I Kissed Her" (1965), "Cottonfields" (1970), and a cover of the Del-Vikings’ "Come Go with Me" (1981).

Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys produced and co-wrote many of his band's most famous tracks and used the Wrecking Crew's talents extensively in the mid-1960s, including on songs such as "Help Me, Rhonda", "California Girls", and "Good Vibrations" as well as the albums Pet Sounds and Smile.
The album's lead single, "Help Me, Rhonda", topped the US Billboard Hot 100. [ 16 ] In a 2011 reappraisal, BBC Music observed that the track listing of Summer Days reads "like a Greatest Hits ," and felt the album is unfairly disparaged for being "simply loaded with proud pop songs."
