Dunedin (/ d ə ˈ n iː d ɪ n /) is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The name comes from Dùn Èideann , the Scottish Gaelic name for Edinburgh , the capital of Scotland. Dunedin is part of the Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater metropolitan area and is the fifth largest city in Pinellas County.
Radio Dunedin has broadcast to the greater Dunedin area (receivable in coastal Otago from Oamaru to Balclutha) on 1431 AM and 1305 AM, the latter of which it still uses. In 1997, the station began simulcasting on 90.2 in FM Stereo, but this was for only a brief period before 90.2 FM became Lite FM and later Solid Gold .
Sunrise Musical Theater was a performing arts center located in Sunrise, Florida. It opened in 1976 hosting concerts and processions. The seating capacity of the theater was 3,732. [1] The theater had an "unofficial" opening on December 27, 1976.

The Tampa Bay Times called the hotel building Dunedin's "most historically valuable structure". [3] Herman Everett Wendell, who also designed the Suwannee Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida was the building's architect. [4] The 110-room hotel was home to radio station WGHB, the first in Pinellas County, which began broadcasting in 1925.
WSMR's main studios in Sarasota were completed in early 2011. The studio is used for broadcasting, as well as live and recorded local performances. [15] The station is dedicated to presenting classical music in recorded and live performances and markets itself as Florida's Classical Station. It is available on-line as well around the world.
