Genos (ジェノス, Jenosu) is a 19-year-old cyborg who becomes Saitama’s disciple after bearing witness to Saitama’s easy victory over Mosquito Girl. Web ch. 6-7, Ch. 6-7 Four years prior to the start of the storyline, his family was killed by a rampaging cyborg known as Mad Cyborg.
Genos plans to stall Elder Centipede to give a chance for Fang and Bomb to get the defeated A Class Heroes to safety. Genos briefly wounds Elder Centipede, but Elder Centipede quickly regenerates and knocks Genos back. Genos starts to become disillusioned, believing himself as worthless since he could not beat the behemoth Dragon-level monster.

A villain named Mosquito Girl attacks a city with her swarms of mosquitoes, but a cyborg named Genos intervenes. Mosquito Girl powers up and rips Genos apart. Before Genos can self-destruct, Saitama, who had arrived at the scene after chasing a mosquito, defeats the monster with a slap. In awe, Genos asks Saitama to mentor him.
