Vitreoscilla is a genus of Gram-negative aerobic bacterium. [1] The bacterial haemoglobin was first discovered from Vitreoscilla, and VHb is found to have a wide range of biological and biotechnological applications including promotion of cell growth, protein synthesis, metabolite productivity, respiration, cellular detoxification, fermentation, and biodegradation.
The VHb gene, vgb, exists as a single copy in Vitreoscilla and exhibits complete agreement with the primary sequence of VHb. [6] [17] The downstream region adjacent to vgb carries a gene in the opposite direction having close similarity with the uvrA gene of E. coli, indicating that vgb is not part of a multigene operon. [18]
It was developed by Custom Materials, now part of 3M. [2] Velostat is a U.S. registered trademark (4,964,564) of Desco Industries Inc. Desco Industries purchased the assets of the 3M Static Control business on January 2, 2015. [3] Velostat is piezoresistive; its resistance changes with flexing or pressure.
3D Manufacturing Format or 3MF is an open source file format standard developed and published by the 3MF Consortium. [1] [2]3MF is an XML-based data format designed specifically for additive manufacturing.
In the hexagonal family, the crystal is conventionally described by a right rhombic prism unit cell with two equal axes (a by a), an included angle of 120° (γ) and a height (c, which can be different from a) perpendicular to the two base axes.
