Howard King (born 1 September 1946) is a former football referee in the English Football League and Premier League. He also served on the Welsh FIFA List. He was based in Merthyr Tydfil which was also home to Leo Callaghan , one of only three Welsh referees to control the English FA Cup Final .

King (June 4, 1932 - May 4, 2016) [1] was the public-address announcer of Michigan Stadium (the home stadium of the Michigan Wolverines college football team) for 33 years, [2] from 1972 [3] [4] to 2005. King and his wife, Liz Sayre-King, resided in Traverse City, Michigan, USA. [5] King died at his home on May 4, 2016, aged 83.
