James Dallas Yeomans (April 21, 1845 – October 31, 1906) was an American politician and railway executive, who served from 1894 to 1905 as a commissioner of the Interstate Commerce Commission. Born in Bennington, New York , and educated there, Yeomans worked as a railwayman from age 17, rising to the position of general superintendent.

The Florida Central and Peninsular Railroad was the final name of a system of railroads throughout Florida, becoming part of the Seaboard Air Line Railway in 1900. The system, including some of the first railroads in Florida, stretched from Jacksonville west through Tallahassee and south to Tampa.
