Lester Alexander Auge (May 16, 1953 – September 20, 2002) was an American ice hockey defenseman who appeared in a total of six National Hockey League regular season games with the Colorado Rockies in 1980–81 but spent most of his career in the minor leagues.
In January of 2023, the NAHL approved the Colorado Grit as an expansion franchise. [1] The Grit's initial ownership group was the same one that ran the Northern Colorado Eagles (a Tier III junior team). The Northern Colorado Eagles ceased operations after the 2022-23 season and transitioned fully to the Colorado Grit. [2]

The Eagles were founded as an expansion franchise in 2003 in the Central Hockey League and remained in the league until June 2011, when they joined the ECHL .
