Instead, define a style that has the indent you prefer and apply that style as needed. The built-in List Bullet style has a 0" left indent and a 0.25" hanging indent and can be applied using the built-in keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+L. Hanging indents in a numbered list in Word for Mac (365) Hi, I'm trying to figure out how I can set up Word so that the second line becomes a hanging indent. Below is what I want the output to look like. The example was done in Apple Pages and was pretty easy. I can't figure out how to do this in Word.

First, here's how to modify the indentation for the List Bullet style: First apply the style to a text paragraph. Click the actual bullet symbol so that Word selects all bullets of the list. Right-click and choose Adjust List Indents. Make the desired changes. When you are done, click OK, and Word will update the style.
